Jess Moskaluke Leads the Nominees for the 2016 SCMA Awards

Nominees for the 2016 Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards were released Monday morning with Jess Moskaluke leading the way with six nominations.

Joining her at the top of the nominees list are Samara Yung and Alex Runions who collected five nominations each.

Moskaluke, a native of Langenberg, is nominated for: Fan's Choice Entertainer of the Year; Female Vocalist of the Year; Song of the Year ("Night We Won't Forget"); Single of the Year ("Kiss Me Quiet"); Video of the Year ("Kiss Me Quiet"); and Album of the Year (Kiss Me Quiet).

The SCMA awards weekend is scheduled for April 22-24 in Saskatoon. The SCMA industry brunch will be held on April 23 with the awards gala slated for April 23 with both events to be held at TCU Place.

Freddie Pelletier of Birch Hills will received the SCMA Legends & Legacy Award on the gala. Pelletier, who has played professionally since 1969, has played guitar for Ferlin Husky and toured extensively with Ian Tyson.
