During Black History Month, CCS will be donating to various charities and organizations dedicated to uplifting Black creators, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and dismantling racism.

This week we are focusing on Black Lives Matter Canada, the organization is internationally known, with Canadian bases in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Waterloo.

Black Lives Matter Canada is a platform in which Black communities throughout Canada can “actively dismantle anti- Black racism, liberate Blackness, support and create the freedom to love and self- determine”. BLM Canada also looks to create safe spaces, support cultural creation, and give access to alternative forms of education.

Black Lives Matter Canada has a “Canada Black Mutual Aid Fund” to support Black people through the COVID-19 pandemic. To support this fund or Black Lives Matter Canada go to their website at: https://blacklivesmatter.ca/mutual-aid
