Gavin Brown is a multi-award winning (and Grammy-nominated) Canadian musician, songwriter and producer. He has worked with Lady Gaga, The Tragically Hip, Three Days Grace, and Metric to name a few. At the age of 15, Brown started his musical career playing drums and touring with bands like Phleg Camp, Danko Jones and Big Sugar. Twelve years into his career, Brown went on to produce new acts such as Three Days Grace, Billy Talent and others, garnering him 14 no.1’s at American rock radio. Thanks to this success, Brown won the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Award at the 2004 JUNOs (Billy Talent – Try Honesty, Three Days Grace – I Hate Everything About You). His direct involvement with various acts has led to 38 JUNO nominations and 12 wins to date, including Metric’s 2010 JUNO Award for Group of the Year and 2013 JUNO Award for Alternative Album of the Year (Synthetic a). Brown’s songwriting with Three Days Grace, recently surpassed Van Halen with having the most #1’s on Mainstream Rock radio with 13 chart topping hits, a record that Van Halen held prior for two decades.
In 2017, Brown founded Inside Pocket, a record label, publishing company, and artist management company. Brown continues to develop acts with Inside Pocket, which currently manages Poesy, Francophone artist, MAÏA, and League of Wolves, among other artists, producers, and songwriters.
