Texada is a one-woman band created, written, produced, and performed by Hayley McLean.
Long known for her incredible guitar skills and ability to write catchy tunes, Texada is the new project from Hayley McLean that takes aim at the world of Alt-Pop.
Hayley’s career started when she won a local radio station’s province-wide contest to find the best young talent. The prize package was nothing short of a music career starter kit. Worth $50,000, it included studio time, video, and photo shoots. Hayley was soon signed to MDM Recordings Inc., an international music distributor and record label.
Sharing her passion for music, she partnered with the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation in 2012, visiting camps throughout Canada and leading music workshops with the campers.
She is co-managed by award-winning musician Mitch Merrett (CCMA 2007 Producer of the Year and Juno nominee) and President of MDM Recordings Inc. Mike Denney.
