During Black History Month, CCS will be donating to various charities and organizations dedicated to uplifting Black creators, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and dismantling racism.
Black Women In Motion is a Toronto based, youth led organization that “empowers and supports the advancement of black womxn and survivors of sexual violence.” The organization looks to create culturally-relevant content, educational tools, healing spaces and economic opportunities for black womxn.
Some of the services the organization offers are Black Youth Employment Assistance Program, Black Peer Education Network and Love Offering Community Emergency Relief Fund.
They are currently working on raising $150,000 for their relief fund, Black Canadian womxn are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the fund will provide financial assistance and resources to these womxn.
